All major projects awarded to CSM include construction progress photos from project start to completion and are on CD located in the Operations and Maintenance Manual along with all other project close-out documentation that may be required.
Horizontal windows were relocated up high to provide additional wall display area, suspended ceiling was removed and underside of roof deck painted flat black.In addition, a new HVAC rooftop unit was installed with spiral duct distribution and improved display overhead lighting installed.

To increase energy efficiency and provide for reliable air conditioning system operation, 20 year old existing air-cooled condensers were replaced.
Storage room of old party store was transformed into ice sculpture area, office and restroom.
Party Store retail area was transformed into ice storage area and garage with the installation of two walk-in freezers, suspended ceiling, lay-in lighting fixtures, floor epoxy paint and overhead garage door.
Building designed by Chester Stempian & Associates Southfield, MI and features 9ft ceiling 3/4 basement storage area, concrete parking lot, 50 year metal roof, brick exterior and aluminum trim. Dr. Homer requested the maintaince free exterior during the buildings design and construction phase.
Exterior brick was removed from addition build out area and reclaimed to be reused so as to blend with original structure. Addition simulates exterior finishes of the extisting structure which provides for the non-addition look. Since addition was close to hill drop off in rear, the footings had to be 11ft deep which required additional concrete placement than typical 4ft.
